Resource Tags and Dynamic Availability
Tag resources by capability and let services automatically find matching resources
12 February 2026 · Feature
You can now add tags to resources to describe their capabilities or characteristics — for example, tagging pharmacists as "full-scope-pharmacist" or rooms as "private". Tags are managed when creating or editing a resource, with typeahead suggestions from existing tags at your site for consistency.
A new Dynamic availability mode for service offerings lets you define resource requirements instead of linking specific resources. Each requirement specifies a quantity and a match criterion (either a resource kind like "Room" or a tag like "full-scope-pharmacist"), and the system automatically finds all valid resource combinations for each timeslot.
This is particularly useful for services where any qualified staff member can provide the service — when a new pharmacist is tagged appropriately, they are automatically included in service availability without needing to update service links. An optional "constrain to linked resources" toggle lets you limit matching to a specific resource pool.
